Thick skin

I was having dinner with a friend, Lok, last night. And I manage to persuade him to teach me 2 fast songs =D

During the course of the conversation about playing the guitar, while I was mentioning that my fingers are really painful, he said something about being thick skin. For a split of a moment, this thought ran through my mind... "playing in front of an audience... yar... have to be thick skin". Then, I realised that he was talking about the thick skin formed on the tip of the fingers (left hand), so that it won't be painful as we grip/press on the strings (sorry... don't know what it is called now).

Aniwei... PTL.... I have learnt 2 more fast songs (Segala puji syukur and We bring Sacrifice of Praise)... though I believe I did not play fast enough 'coz I could not change key fast. Sigh.... well Sifu Lok said I have to practise at least an hour everyday =p

Now I have two guitar sifus... one is Sifu Paul (who can only teach me in church... the last time was after leaders' meeting) and Sifu Lok (who will only teach me after a whole lot persuasion because he is very the busy one).

Compare the both of them? Well.... both are equally good.... Sifu Paul looked very serious (garang) when teaching.. Sifu Lok ar... ok lar... not so garang and I felt like a kindie kid (he will kill me if he knows this... wanted to call him Uncle Lok oredi.... haha....)

I am so happy.... now I know at least 3 fast songs... cooooolzzz... =*)

And thank God Uncle Lok taught me the 2 songs (actually 3 songs) ... I have just received an email from my CG member, rostered to do worship this friday, that she can't come and has asked me to take over. Phew.... thank you Uncle Lok =D

Oh man.... I hope he won't read this.... ahem... eh... if you are... I am not saying you are old, ok?
