Feed me! Feed me!
My tummy growls,
“Sure, at ONCE” I relented,
I was soon filled.

Feed me! Feed me!
My spirit groans,
“No time!” I regretted,
Have to skip my quiet time and church this week.

Feed me! Feed me!
The beggar begs,
“Sorry,” I apologised,
Not a penny to spare or a word to share.

Feed me! Feed me!
Jesus calls out to you,
“Yet you have not,” He will one day reply.

When you are in need, I fed you enough.
When you lacked blessings, I gave you much.
When you prayed for a job, I provided you one, as such.

Yet…
When you are doing well, you forget Me.
When you were supposed to nourish yourself spiritually, you turn a blind eye.
When you see those in true need, you only said ‘bye’.

Feed me! Feed me!
My stomach churns,
“Not this time,” I replied in repentance,
I am fasting and turning back to God.

Feed me! Feed me!
My spirit yearns,
“Yes, God!” I responded in joy,
You and Your people, I long to be with.

Feed me! Feed me!
The beggar cries,
“Sir,” I spoke as I bend down to share,
A piece of bread and the Living Bread.
